Well here are the babies on their 2nd day, and their mother taking very good care of them. She is protective over them, however I'm surprised at by how much, I expected her to be more so and especially because she can be quite territorial usually. I like to think that she's allowing me near them and in her cage simply because it's me, but realistically I don't think it's because she's aware that I won't harm them. All 9 are still alive and Mini's being a brilliant mother.
I had an interview at Matalan today, it went very well however there's a 1/5 chance of me getting the job, I'm hopeful however realistic so there won't be as much disappointment if I find out I haven't got the job on Saturday. I remained smiley throughout the interview and kept eye contact to show that I'm interested in what the interviewer is saying and our conversation. He first asked me questions, then gave me a chance to ask him questions. He asked me what skills I have, why I want to work at Matalan, how I would handle customers and a few other relevant questions. I answered them thoroughly however feel like I should have done a little bit more. I asked him about his personal experience working there, what jobs get done on a daily basis and if the employees get swapped around the sections of the shop. My interview went well and this was my best yet, however when he told me that 50 people have an interview and only 10 will be getting the job it set my hopes down a little.
A friend of mine's dad died earlier in the year due to cancer, he is now trying to raise money for research. He asked me if I would be willing to donate, this was an extremely risky question to ask, especially as there was no chance I would give any money to Cancer Research as they test on animals. I told him this and he made it worse by saying 'Would you rather people died than animals?', I avoided giving him a straight answer and we left it at that. I really do not understand why animals should be harmed in situations like this, the illness does not affect them so why should they be involved in it. Just because one species is suffering, it does not mean another should make up for that pain. I do not support Cancer Research and I am very willing to fight out my cause to anyone. Animals should be treated with more respect :)
